Laboratory Overview
We combine science and business as we complete experiments, manufacture and sell products with a scientific focus. Products such as ‘slime’ and lip balm are available if you have enough money in your checking account!
CEO
I am the leader of my business. I visit the bank for our loan, order our advertising and answer questions for visitors to our lab. I give a speech at the Morning Town Meeting and tell everyone about our business and the products we will sell. My job stays very busy most of the day and I fill in for and help all my employees when they need help or are out on a break.
CFO
I spend my day working on a computer, processing payroll checks for all Lilly Lab employees. There is always A LOT of paperwork on my desk so I have to be organized as I pay all the bills for our business. I am also responsible for depositing our business income in the bank.
Researcher
Reading, following directions and accuracy is very important in my job. I have an experiment to perform each day and spend a lot of my time assembling products that our business will sell to citizens. I also help calculate how many products we need for each shopping break so that everyone has an equal chance to purchase our special items!
Lab Technician
I work with the researcher to complete the experiments in our lab. I also am responsible for assembling products that our business has available to sell. Sometimes I also help the Sales Manager complete customer sales by collecting checks or entering sales in the point-of-sale computer.
Sales Manager
I am responsible for setting up our product display and working with the CEO to set prices for our products. I also operate the Point-of-Sale computer which helps us know that our customers have money in the bank to cover the checks they write to us. Sometimes I make posters and signs to help advertise our products.
