What is the Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame?
Is there a National Business Hall of Fame? The dinner has been organized and structured to pattern after Junior Achievement's National Business Hall of Fame, held in April of each year in designated cities. Click here to learn more about the National Business Hall of Fame. What is the attire for the evening? The event is Black Tie. Men arrive in tuxedos and women in evening and cocktail dresses. When and where does the event begin? The dinner and awards ceremony begins with a cocktail reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom at 6:00 pm. Dinner begins promptly at 7:00 pm and program follows, ending approximately at 9:30. Who is typically in attendance? Central Indiana's top CEOs and their guests. The event traditionally sells out at 650 in attendance. How do I get more information or tickets to this year's Hall of Fame? Laureates How are the laureates chosen? Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame laureates are selected by a Junior Achievement selection committee prior to their announcement in the fall of each year. To date, 82 laureates have been inducted. The selection process is intended to involve an objective assessment of all nominees against set criteria determined by Junior Achievement. The Award? A Waterford crystal eagle, symbolizing the spirit of free enterprise is presented to each laureate or to a member of the deceased laureate’s family at the Central Indiana Business Hall of Fame induction dinner. Who has been chosen as a laureate in the past? Click here to see a list of those laureates, inducted since 1989. A Hall of Fame photo display resides in the lobby of the Gene B. Glick Junior Achievement Education Center. |
